Within the OMG Foundation, a watcher is a computer that monitors the network for unusual and malicious activity and ensures that data submitted to the Ethereum blockchain for finalization is correct. OMG Foundation’s network of watchers is decentralized and any OMG Foundation user can operate a watcher.
